I know this because I’ve been there

I’ve always been someone that people would call a “high achiever.”

 

I put in the work and had this relentlessness about me to push through any obstacle to get what I want. And you know what? I’ve EXCELED at getting:

..the healthiest body

..the best job

..the highest income

..the greatest partner

..the coolest friends

..the "perfect" good-girl image

But what I didn’t realize for most of my life, was that I was measuring my success by the ruler of society instead of what felt truly aligned for me.

 

And it wasn’t making me happy like I thought it would. I finally had all the things that the younger version of me thought was the key to happiness: the house, the car, the business, the body, the relationships, the reputation.

 

Yet, I couldn’t enjoy all I had worked for because I was mentally clouded by how to become more perfect.

 

How to work out more. What each bite meant. How to get better and better.

 

The overachiever in me thought it meant I wasn’t pushing hard enough, but when I FINALLY took the time to just, pause? I got still enough for the truth to find me: I wasn’t free.

 

So, for the first time in my life, I started focusing on my physical health as much as I did my mental health.. I poured into myself in the ways that I gave to others. (If you’re also a recovering sacrificial people-pleaser, you know exactly what I mean!)

 

The result? Actual happiness. And yes, STILL a fit, strong body I’m proud of.

That’s what led me to create the
